KathyRecently the Entrepreneurship Advancement Center (EAC) announced the finalists for its 2nd annual Entrepreneurship Celebration Awards, which recognizes and celebrates “the achievements of innovative business owners who demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit as they start and grow their businesses.” And Kathy Carandang of the WalkEZStore.com was honored with a nomination for the 2013 Established Business category.

Kathy and her fellow nominees, Nick Carter of Address Two and Robert Karlinsey of Indiana NanoTech, will undergo interviews about their businesses with an independent judging panel within the next few weeks. On February 28, the Established Business category winner, along with the winners of the Emerging Business and Mature Business categories, will be revealed at a reception and awards ceremony following the Entrepreneurship Celebration Conference.

“It is always difficult to narrow down entries to the three finalists as each of the business owners have an amazing story,” said Cathy Langlois, executive director of EAC, in a press release. “The Celebration Awards bring attention to all stages of business and their contribution to the culture and economy of Indiana communities they serve.”

In 2008, Kathy, a certified pedorthist, developed the ezWalker® orthotic products and opened the WalkEZStore.com. Her ezWalker® Custom Performance Orthotics work differently than other custom orthotics on the market, due to her unique, 7-step, biomechanical, foam-impression process. This casting method allows your foot to determine what it wants for your individualized arch height for each foot; and it controls pronation just enough to guide your feet to a better biomechanical gait with every step you take. This impression process takes the guesswork out of ensuring your moulds are correct for the fabrication of your orthotics. As Kathy always says, “Better impressions make better orthotics.”

ezWalker® Custom Performance Orthotics provide your feet with the proper biomechanical support they need to help them function better, enabling the proper motion of your feet and aligned support for your entire body. Whether your goal is to alleviate the pain of a chronic condition or to be proactive against such problems, you can benefit from using ezWalker® Custom Orthotics. These custom-made orthotics are ultra thin and ¾ in the length, so they easily fit and transfer to any shoe – from athletic to dressy.
