I've worn the orthotics for 4 days now (about 6 hrs per day) and I'm truly shocked that my hip pain is gone. Can't believe it would make that much difference in only a few days, but I have no other explanation. I've had the left hip replaced three times, which makes support muscles weaker and I ride a recumbent bike daily to strengthen the weakened muscles. But, I still had some residual pain that was beginning to increase in intensity. Original replacement was 2004 for osteoarthritis, but it kept popping out of the socket. Last surgery was 2005. I was so shocked that the pain was gone the past few days - I had become accustomed to it and ignored it for the most part. I definitely will tell Dr Jeff Pierson (orthopaedic surgeon) at my annual check up. We may be on to something big here. He's very interested in research, so this will catch his attention. I'll keep tabs on this to see if the pain returns. I'm going to kick up my wearing time to 8 hours starting today. Hummm.....I may become your best advertisement! My right hip hasn't given me any pain, but again it showed much less damage on the foot print.
